1. About the Service

Satark is a free, informational tool that helps users evaluate whether a message, phone number, or described phone call may be a scam. It is provided for educational and awareness purposes only. Satark does not provide legal, financial or investigative services and is not a substitute for the Indian cybercrime helpline (1930) or cybercrime.gov.in.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users located in India who are 18 years or older, or who are using the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes another person's rights.
• Do not attempt to overwhelm, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Do not submit personal data of third parties without lawful basis.
• Community reports are moderated and may be edited or removed at our discretion.

4. Donations

Donations to Satark are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Donations are voluntary, made in Indian Rupees (INR), and are non-refundable once received (see our Refund Policy). Donations are not tax-deductible.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Service, including the Satark and Ralosy names, logos, code and pattern library, is owned by Ralosy or its licensors and protected by Indian and international IP laws. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit the Service without written permission.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service is error-free, uninterrupted or that scam detection is accurate in every case. Verdicts are indicative and must not be treated as the final word on any message, number or call.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ralosy, Satark and their founders, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits or business, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising in connection with the Service will not exceed ₹1,000.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ralosy and its representatives from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or breach of these Terms.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected via the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Punjab, India.
